MEC has appointed Andy Francos to the role of head of organic performance at its Wavemaker content division – launched last year – with a brief to boost the agency’s organic offering, performance measurement and overall integration within the wider media mix.
Francos joins from Publicis Media’s Starcom, where he was search director. and was part of the team that worked on the Cannes Media grand prix-winning campaign #likeagirl for P&G’s Always brand.
In his new role, Francos reports to Ben McKay, managing director of MEC Wavemaker UK. He will work across all of the agency’s clients.
McKay said: “Wavemaker’s continuing growth and ambitions require investment in class-leading talent to support our clients, and I’m delighted that Andy, with his exceptional understanding of the search landscape, will be joining Wavemaker’s leadership team.”
Francos said: “I joined MEC Wavemaker due to the agency’s investment in data-driven content creation and integrated distribution, within an agile marketing team. I inherit a great team at Wavemaker and am looking to build and enhance our suite of services in organic search and content for our clients.”
