Medialab hires Suzy Jordan as first director of strategy

Suzy_JordanMedialab Group has created the role of director of strategy and handed the post to former Carat and Mindshare client chief Suzy Jordan.
The appointment comes just days after the independent agency landed the Guide Dogs media business – including strategic planning, media investment and innovation on both fundraising and brand activity – following a three-way competitive pitch.
Jordan started her career as a press buyer at Ogilvy in the mid-Nineties, then had spells at Optimedia, Initiative, MediaCom, and Trinity Mirror (now Reach) before joining Mindshare in 2008.
She spent nearly seven years at the agency, ultimately as head of client leadership and then moved to Exterion Media as marketing and commercial strategy director. Most recently she was client managing director at Carat UK, but left in February.
At Medialab, Jordan will be working in close partnership with the agency leadership team and new commercial director Kirsty Spickett – who joined in June – to work on the agency’s business development as well as client strategy.
Medialab chief executive Marcus Orme said: “Suzy has over 20 years’ experience leading client relationships, in business development and commercial strategy. With her experience running large accounts such as Unilever, Suzy brings a fresh perspective to a data-driven, independent, agency.”
