OgilvyOne hires first tech chief

OgilvyOne hires first tech chiefOgilvyOne has recruited its first chief technology officer, with Tribal Worldwide London chief John Streit taking on the new post at the London agency.
Streit, who will be responsible for bringing together OgilvyOne’s technology capabilities across the agency, started his career as technical director at Cedar Communications in 1999. He then had spells at Havas EHS, Royal Mail, Carlson Marketing Group (now Aimia) and Agency Republic.
He joined Tribal Worldwide (as DDB UK) in December 2010, and was technical director for over three years. During his 15-year career, Streit has worked for clients including Volkswagen, Guinness, Baileys, Virgin Media, Smirnoff, O2, Captain Morgan, Mini and PlayStation.
He will report to chief executive Sam Williams-Thomas, who said: “Technology plays a vital role in helping us to create engaging and effective creative solutions for our clients. John brings considerable experience, passion and bravery to this role, which will ensure we remain at the cutting edge of what technology has to offer.”
Streit added: “OgilvyOne has unrivalled creative expertise. I look forward to bringing my experience in technology to the group, and ensuring any creative vision for clients can be seamlessly delivered, while tapping into exciting and innovative technologies.”
