Partners appoints strategy chief

blackdenPartners Andrews Aldridge chief executive Martin Nieri has fingered his old contacts book once more by luring former CMW planning director Erminia Blackden to the role of strategy director.
Blackden, currently the strategy director at Wunderman, first worked with Nieri when he was managing director of CMW, leading the Peugeot account.
She left CMW in October 2012 to join Wunderman after almost four years at the agency and is the second high-profile CMWer Nieri has poached. Former CMW new business director Paul Vallois moved to Partners last year.
Blackden started her career as a media planner at GGT in 1993, and then had spells at Lowe Direct, Draft FCB and Mesh before joining CMW in March 2009.
Blackden, who has FMCG, automotive and retail sector experience, said: “The agency is currently evolving, and I’m pleased to be joining at this exciting time.”
Nieri added: “Partners’ strong planning department will be bolstered with this appointment.
“As our clients demand an understanding of their business and how we can take it further, Erminia’s talent and experience is a great asset.”
Blackden is the agency’s second senior hiring in a week following the appointment of Polly Jones as its third managing partner five days ago.
