Saatchi creative duo join MRM to work on major brands

tobias and hernanMRM UK is beefing up its top creative team with the appointment of Saatchi & Saatchi London and Argentinian duo Hernan Garcia Dietrich and Tobias Tercic as associate creative directors.

Reporting directly to MRM chief creative officer Ioana Filip, the two have worked together since forming a partnership back in Buenos Aires, where they worked for WPP-owned Santo and Leo Burnett.

They have won multiple Cannes Lions, Eurobest and D&AD awards and driven campaigns for major brands, including Coca-Cola, T-Mobile, Visa, Samsung, P&G, Ab-InBev, Toyota, BT and British Heart Foundation.

The agency insists the appointment follows significant growth at MRM over the past year, which has seem it expand its client portfolio with “disruptive brands”, including Durex, which it scooped in July. The agency’s clients include Direct Line, Microsoft, The Miscarriage Association, Tommee Tippee and The National.

Dietrich and Tercic have been brought to “push boundaries and create exceptional, impactful and holistic campaigns for MRM’s flagship accounts”.

They highlight MRM’s commitment to innovation and creativity, further solidifying the agency’s focus on disruptive communication, MRM claims.

Filip effectively succeeded John Treacy at MRM when she was appointed in the summer of 2022. She commented: “The addition of these two exceptional talents, Hernan and Tobias, couldn’t have come at a better time as we continue on our creative transformation journey.

“Their impressive portfolio across Argentina and the UK is a testament to their industry passion. Their recognition in various award shows, including a gold at Cannes Lions, sets a high standard for our team and showcases the creative possibilities for our clients. Watch this space. Vammmosss!”

Hernan and Tobias said in a joint statement: “We’ve long admired Ioana’s work, and upon learning about her ambitious plans for MRM, we were immediately on board. We felt an instant connection to the agency and look forward to continuing to deliver great work for the clients.”
