Unlimited Group has promoted Sarah Shilling from managing partner at its Brand at Unlimited agency to the role of group chief marketing officer, succeeding Ryan Wain who has left the company to pursue a career in law.
Shilling, who has over 20 years’ PR and brand marketing experience, joins the senior leadership team as Unlimited Group aims to embark on a new growth spurt following its recent organisational restructure.
She joined Unlimited Group in 2013 from Fever Unlimited and Nelson Bostock Unlimited, where she was director of operations and oversaw marketing and business development across both agencies.
Prior to 2013, Shilling held senior positions at Sainsbury’s, Ketchum, and Shine, as was also head of corporate comms at Pernod Ricard UK and global head of comms for Intercontinental Hotels Group.
Unlimited Group managing director Michael Richards, who was appointed to his role last month, said: “Sarah has the attitude, skill, tenacity and ambition for this role and will spearhead Unlimited Group’s marketing plans to drive growth.”
Shilling added: “Given the bold and ambitious plans for growing Unlimited Group following the reorganisation earlier this year, the timing could not be better. My first brief is to make the Unlimited Group famous and the second brief that I’m especially proud to be taking on, is the position of a female role model for all the exceptionally talented women across the group.”
