Unlimited Group has made its first acquisition since its major operational overhaul by purchasing specialist B2B content and lead generation marketing agency First Base for an undisclosed sum.
The deal is designed to add further strength and specialisation to the Group’s B2B & Technology division, with First Base providing end-to-end marketing services alongside technology PR and communications agency Nelson Bostock Unlimited.
First Base delivers content-driven B2B programmes and is claimed to expert in content and digital strategy and execution for inbound marketing, account-based marketing, lead nurture and demand generation.
Founded in 2012, and led by managing director Faye Hawkins (pictured, with Tim Bonnet and Nelson Bostock MD Nick Clark), the agency will be based in Unlimited House, the group’s London office. However, it will continue to operate as a separate brand under the First Base Unlimited name. First Base clients include Cognizant, Lenovo, IP Solutions and Proact.
Unlimited Group president Tim Bonnet said: “We’re delighted to welcome the First Base team into the Unlimited family. Nelson Bostock Unlimited has a strong heritage in the B2B and technology sectors, working with global and challenger brands. This acquisition further strengthens our offer in a market where communications and marketing are converging, enabling us to offer a full range of services from brand building and reputation management through to lead generation and sales.”
Hawkins added: “Having already partnered closely with Nelson Bostock Unlimited to deliver marketing and technology solutions for shared clients, this move was a natural next step. We’re excited to become part of the Unlimited Group; its scale and impressive client list, together with Nelson Bostock Unlimited’s expertise in delivering communications programmes for business and technology brands, provides a perfect home for First Base and a launch pad for future growth.”
Unlimited Group recently restructured and grouped its agencies into seven core disciplines in a move designed to offer clients a simple, bespoke and integrated service.
