Spinnaker hires AIS creative chiefDigital agency Spinnaker has appointed AIS London creative director Rich Coggin as its new creative partner, as part of a new focus on producing “story-telling” content.
The move sees Spinnaker executive creative director Clare Winter switch to the role of design director, working alongside Coggin.
Coggin started his career at Saatchi & Saatchi in 1994 as an art director, then had spells at FCB, Clark & Taylor, Grand Union and Momentum Worldwide. He also co-founded two agencies – Raw and Nest – before going freelance for a while.
He joined AIS London in June 2011, where Coggin worked on Sony PlayStation, Sony Music, Skoda and Vodafone. During this time he also picked up numerous industry awards including a Cannes Golden Lion, three Creative Showcases, four BIMAS and a DMA Gold.
Spinnaker managing partner Robert Goldsmith said “Driving consumer brand participation has never been more important. The structure of our agency is now geared towards work that answers this need. Rich brings deep experience in this area with the campaigns he has created at AIS. We are delighted he is joining the team and we are looking forward to the creative added value that he will bring.”
