TBCH, the digital and direct marketing agency formerly known as Targetbase Claydon Heeley, has appointed Emma Rush as chief executive, succeeding Steve Grout who has joined Tangent Snowball.
A former Proximity London director of client services, Rush joins from the independent agency Baber Smith, where she has been managing director for the past two years.
She will be responsible for leading the agency, part of Omnicom’s Diversified Agency Services division which also includes Rapp.
During her time at Baber Smith, Rush repositioned the agency and won business from Celebrity Cruises and Amex.
The appointment signals her return to Omnicom, after spending 14 years at Proximity London. Her most recent role there was as director of client services, where she was responsible for overseeing the agency’s account management and digital production teams plus leading key direct and digital clients including the RNLI, Royal Mail and TV Licensing.
Brian Curran, chief operations officer, CRM, Diversified Agency Services, said: “Emma has extensive agency leadership experience and an impressive background in managing senior relationships for clients across all sectors.
“Her background makes her ideal for TBCH, which occupies a unique place in the UK market, as a boutique agency within a network. We’re delighted Emma has returned to Omnicom.”
