TMW promotes Burley to MD in top-level restructure

tmwunlimited_emma_chris_alex_3TMW Unlimited has rewarded managing partner Alex Burley for his 15 years of loyalty to the agency by promoting him to the role of managing director, as part of a restructure designed to strengthen its senior account management team.
Burley (pictured, far right), who has also been client services director and business director, now becomes a member of the executive board.
Emma Norman (pictured, far left) has also been promoted to client services director from group business director. Having been with the agency over seven years, Norman has led the Sony Mobile, Unilever and Virgin Trains accounts and was integral to the Cannes Lions-winning Bigger Issues campaign for Lynx and Calm as well as the recent Ferrero pitch win. She will also join the management board.
Meanwhile, Emma Lester and Michael Wells have both been promoted to business director from their previous roles of group account directors. Lester, who was previously at Proximity London, will be leading the Sony Mobile and Virgin Trains accounts. Wells, who led the #TurnOffToTurnOn campaign for Durex will head up the Canon, Vodafone, HSBC and Diageo accounts.
In addition, TMW has appointed Alastair McLeod, also as business director, to lead its automotive accounts: Nissan and its luxury car brand Infiniti. McLeod joins the agency from Rapier, having previously worked at OgilvyOne and Partners Andrews Aldridge.
TMW chief executive Chris Pearce (pictured, middle) said: “It’s always fantastic to promote from within and these recent elevations are a testament to the depth of talent we have at TMW Unlimited. Over the last 12 months we’ve seen huge organic growth and so strengthening our senior team to offer clients the best service is absolutely our priority.”
