Underwired hires ex-TMW director

Underwired hires ex-TMW directorDigital and CRM agency Underwired is continuing to build its senior team with the appointment of former TMW chief Douglas McDonald as client services director.
Working alongside the account team on Underwired’s clients, including ASICS, Travelodge and Regus, McDonald will report into managing director John Thew – who joined last September – and support the overall client delivery and account management of the agency.
Formerly business development director at mGage, McDonald also held the role of director of mobile and connected consumer at TMW, as well as head of mobile at TW parent Creston.
During his career he has worked with household brand names such as Unilever, Coca-Cola, Diageo and Walkers.
Thew commented: “Douglas brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role and will help us to continue to deliver seamless client relationships whilst helping us on our expansion journey.”
McDonald added: “Underwired has a reputation as being the leading authority on CRM and customer engagement. I’m thrilled to be able to bring my experience to the agency and work as part of the incredibly talented team.”
In April, MediCom’s social media chief Ivan Fernandes joined the agency as its new planning director, charged with delivering creative data-driven strategies across its client base.
