Unison exposes the ‘cons’ in outdoor election campaign

Unison_politicsUnison, the UK’s largest trade union, has launched a digital out-of-home campaign, “No Pros. Just Cons”, which aims to mobilise its membership and the wider public to vote Labour at the general election on July 4.

Created by agency Krow Group, the creative concept features a pros and cons list designed to outline the Conservative Party’s failures under the “Just Cons” section, with nothing listed under “Pros”.

Further emphasising Unison’s message, Krow Group has also created animations that quantify the impact of the Conservative Government on NHS waiting lists, wages, and food banks.

The campaign will be rolled out on digital advertising vans and across the press and Unison’s social media channels.

In 2020, Krow Group also produced ‘No Going Back to Normal’ for the public service union, which serves more than 1.3 million members.

Unison campaign manager Lisa McGuinness said: “It was a great experience to work with Krow Group once again on this latest campaign. Highlighting the Conservative Government’s terrible record of failure on public services, and the workers who deliver them, is vitally important at this election.”

Krow Group executive creative director Darryl George added: “The workers that Unison represents are usually overlooked in political debates. I’m proud that with the help of this hard-hitting campaign, which will feature in paid social and publications like the Daily Mail, the union’s members will be impossible to ignore.”
