ITV brings in first ever group chief data and AI officer

Stefan HoejmoseITV is beefing up its senior leadership team with the appointment of the broadcasting giant’s first group chief data and AI officer.

Stefan Hoejmose, who will be joining the company on July 8, was most recently senior manager of data science at Roku, one of the largest US streaming platforms, where he led the UK data and machine learning team.

Prior to that, he spent nearly three years at Dyson, joining as golbal director of marketing data and audience before taking up the role of director of connected data science and MLOps.

During his time there, Hoejmose led a team of analysists, data scientists and MLOps engineers, to bring the first customer intelligence platform to Dyson, leveraging data across CRM, website, app and machine to drive personalisation and to report business performance in near-real time.

Hoejmose joined Dyson from Now TV, where, as head of data journey and personalisation, he was in charge of a team of more than 30 data scientists and customer comms professionals.

He has also held senior data roles at Mediacom, Lloyds Bank, Response One and SunLife.

Reporting into ITV chief technology officer Simon Farnsworth, Hoejmose will work across both ITV’s Media & Entertainment and Studios divisions with the aim of unlocking value from ITV’s data and ensure the organisation stays at the forefront of data innovation.
