VCCP triumphs in pitch for online car portal Cinch

cinchCinch, the online used car marketplace which recently raised £1bn in private capital to accelerate its growth across UK and Europe, has appointed VCCP to handle its UK integrated account following a three-way pitch.

The firm, whose ads feature former X-Factor contestant-turned-TV-celebrity Rylan Clarke, has briefed VCCP to spearhead campaign development and amplification, brand strategy, digital communications and customer experience delivered through VCCP CX.

Work will commence immediately on the account.

Despite launching only ten months ago, Cinch is already generating annualised sales of over 50,000 vehicles with its promise to take the hassle out of buying, changing and owning a car, completely online.

It claims to have 30 million unique visitors a year, who can buy a quality-checked used car, with part exchange and financing options and have it delivered straight to their home.

Cinch also offers its customers CinchCare, a lifetime warranty, routine servicing and roadside assistance subscription package. The firm is owned by Constellation Automotive Group, the company behind WeBuyAnyCar.

VCCP managing director Roly Darby said: “We both share the same challenger attitude and ambition, which makes us the perfect fit, and we can’t wait to work together to evolve their go-to-market offering.”

Cinch chief customer officer Robert Bridge added: “Roly and the team demonstrated an unequalled understanding of our business and ambitions. And it was clear to us they have the team in place to take us from strength to strength as we continue to grow at pace.”
