Wunderman has strengthened its KBM data and insights division with two key promotions, handing Caroline Worboys the EMEA division, and appointing Slavi Samardzija as chief analytics officer.
Worboys (pictured), who joined KBM as UK managing director in August 2011, will expand her remit to take on the EMEA region. She will work with Wunderman regional and country managers to coordinate and direct delivery of KBM Group data assets and data management expertise.
She will also establish and mobilise hubs across the region as ‘centres of excellence’ to deliver data, data management and data strategy. She will remain based in London, reporting in the UK to Wunderman chief executive Mel Cruickshank, and for EMEA to Laben.
Samardzija is currently executive vice president of the agency’s marketing intelligence group, which includes a core analytics team based within Wunderman New York and at a Texas-based subsidiary, KBM Group.
In his new role, Samardzija is tasked with leading Wunderman’s analytics globally, establishing new capabilities when needed, and managing existing capabilities across Wunderman’s network.
He will remain in New York and report to Gary S Laben, president of data and insights and chief exeuctive of KBM Group.
Laben said: “In an era of big data, Slavi and Caroline are both forward-thinking, dynamic leaders who will stimulate our data and analytics specialists across the world to bring our clients the most insightful data management and customer intelligence.
“This is critical to responding to clients’ needs more quickly, more strategically and more comprehensively, and to fulfilling our vision for Wunderman across the globe. With Slavi and Caroline’s leadership, we’ll increase our edge in providing this capability.”
