Wunderman takes another chunk of BT with digital win

BT oneWunderman is understood to have calved out another chunk of BT business, following reports that the agency has picked up a huge slice of digital work to add to the direct marketing account it picked up late last year.
The digital marketing review, which kicked off in March, is not expected to conclude until later this month but Wunderman’s appointment has already been leaked. SapientRazorfish insisted it declined to repitch for the business.
The WPP agency will now work with other shops on the digital roster, including AnalogFolk, which was appointed to head digital content earlier this year.
The appointment comes just days after Wunderman revealed its new UK management line-up, in a move which saw chief operating officer Pip Hulbert move up to UK CEO and ECD Ian Haworth, who joined the agency in 2015 after 14 years at Rapp, promoted to chief creative officer across the UK and EMEA.
The shake-up follows a new business bonanza for the agency; as well as winning the combined BT and EE direct marketing business, the agency recently scooped Samsung’s pan-European CRM account.
