Blackbaud, one of the world’s leading cloud software companies for the non-profit sector, has signed a deal with data and insight company REaD Group to launch a solution that will automatically cleanse its clients’ database every month.
The move sees the REaDConnect API solution integrated into Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT cloud-based fundraising and donor management software platform to create Automated Data Cleansing (ADC).
Blackbaud clients will now be able to keep their customers’ contact information up-to-date and GDPR compliant by screening for goneaways and deceased individuals and providing relocation details for customers who have moved.
With clean, compliant data underpinning all their marketing activities, the two companies claim that non-profits and those in the social good community – including charities, hospices, hospitals, schools, colleges and more – will be able to drive their fundraising efforts, reduce campaign waste, improve response rates, protect their brand and reduce their environmental impact.
While a typical manual data cleanse might take one to two weeks, it is claimed that REaD Group’s ADC solution will automatically screen and cleanse a Raiser’s Edge NXT customer database in less than an hour.
Data is transferred via API with full encryption during transit and the import of data back into the database is taken care of in an end-to-end process. ADC utilises two of the UK’s leading data assets for the identification of deceased and moved individuals: TBR – The Bereavement Register, and GAS – The Goneaway Suppression File.
The ADC solution is charged on a subscription basis: there is no charge for updates, no charges for identification of deceased, goneaways or relocation, and no hidden fees. A one-off fee covers a 12-month period.
REaD Group chief executive Jon Cano-Lopez said: “Blackbaud understands the challenges faced by Raiser’s Edge NXT customers when it comes to cleansing data and is leading the way when it comes to providing their customers with the most reliable data.
“Now all non-profits have access to a solution that will automatically cleanse their database every month, meaning they never need to worry about it again.”
Blackbaud Europe president and general manager Pascale Harvie added: “We are pleased to be able to offer Raiser’s Edge NXT users a way to keep their data current and compliant via our partnership with REaD Group.
“Automating a data cleanse of their customer database on a monthly basis means that our non-profit and social good customers can be confident of improving their communications activities while avoiding wasting resources.”
