Former Kin + Carta duo take Rise at Seven to London

Rise at Seven, the SEO agency launched by two former Kin + Carta colleagues who worked at both Branded3 and Edit, is expanding out of its Yorkshire base after just six months to open a London office.

The Sheffield business, launched by Stephen Kenwright and Carrie Rose in June last year, has already secured clients from across the UK, US and Europe, including Missguided, Game, Halfords and Parkdean Resorts.

Will Hobson, also formerly at Branded3 and Edit, who left Kin + Carta in September last year to go freelance, will now spearhead Rise at Seven’s London office.

Rose said: “Expanding to London is an exciting time for us as an agency. We now have a hub that aims to service our clients in the capital and attract some of the best talent within SEO and creative content marketing. We are thrilled to have Will head up our London offering and help take Rise at Seven to the next level.”

Hobson has been tasked with building a full SEO team in the capital by the end of the financial year in June.

I will be working closely with both Carrie and Stephen to deliver for our clients and foster the culture they have created, in the South.”

The launch of Rise at Seven was followed by the co-founders of Branded3 – Vin Chinnaraja and Patrick Altoft – joining forces with former agency executives Tim Grice, David White, Alan Ng and John James Grice for digital performance marketing start-up Connective3.

The move raised more than a few eyebrows over Kin + Carta’s retention strategy, with some in the industry questioning why the group had failed to keep hold of its senior management.
