“If You Know, You Know” has been created by Lucky Generals and is built around the simple premise that those “in the know” have always understood you do not need to compromise between style and value – and that is what you get with George.
The campaign signals a significant shift in how George talks about itself. Rather than leading with affordability alone, the new positioning reframes George as a destination where style and value exist together – celebrating shoppers who have already discovered the brand’s design credentials while inviting everyone else into the club.
The aim is to encourage consumers to think differently about George, positioning it as a credible destination for style without compromising on value.
Launching across VOD, online video, social, digital, OOH, CRM, retail media, in-store and George’s own channels, the fully integrated campaign spans every customer touchpoint.
At the heart of the activity are a number of films that celebrate the “knowing look” shared by people who understand that great style does not have to come with a premium price tag.
Set across a series of warm, cinematic home moments, the “home” film captures the quiet confidence that comes from recognising a beautifully designed piece from George. Whether it is a statement vase, the perfect dinner set or a new favourite cushion, every find is met with the same subtle smile of recognition.
The films are supported by a series of OOH and print executions that apply the “If You Know, You Know” platform directly to George’s products.
Oversized typography frames individual homeware pieces as the season’s hidden gems, pairing them with knowing headlines such as “The vase everyone’s after” and “The glass everyone’s reaching for”. The work transforms everyday retail messaging into cultural recommendations, presenting George’s home range as the place where shoppers discover tomorrow’s must-have pieces first.
Asda George group marketing director Tom Hampson said: “Everyone loves that feeling of finding something really stylish. That’s exactly what this campaign celebrates. George has always offered incredible style at outstanding value, but we know there are still people who haven’t fully discovered that yet.
“‘If You Know, You Know’ captures the confidence our existing customers already have in the brand while inviting a whole new audience to see George differently. It’s a platform that reflects where we are today and gives us the flexibility to keep building the brand for years to come.”
Lucky Generals creative directors Ed Cole and Lewis Bostrand-Mooney added: “People know George for value, but they may not be aware of its on-trend fashion and stylish homeware credentials.
“Our platform aims to redress that balance by celebrating what our savvy fans already know: That George is the place for the fashion-forward, the style-conscious, and yes, the value seekers. If you know you know and if you didn’t know, well now you do.”
