Havas EHS is aiming to transform its offering with the appointment of a digitally focused executive creative director – DraftFCB’s Steven Bennett-Day – just weeks after strengthening its management team.
The move has triggered the departure of head of creative Nigel Clifton, who had moved up the ranks of the agency since joining as an art director nearly 15 years ago. It is not known whether Clifton has another job to go to.
Bennett-Day is thought to be the first person to hold the ECD role since Patrick Baglee departed nearly six years ago.
Formerly DraftFCB’s UK digital creative director, he has been briefed with developing the creative offering of Havas EHS, including its strategic approach combining creative, data and digital that the agency calls FULCRM.
At DraftFCB, Bennett-Day worked on accounts including Coca-Cola Europe, Beiersdorf and eBay. He has also had spells at Soup, Skive and New Arcadians, and has founded two agencies.
Matt Fanshawe, who was promoted to run the day-to-day operation of EHS Havas in November, said: “Having Steven on board will play a key role in helping to transform the agency’s creativity.”
