Jaywing has recruited Experian’s head of media, leisure and retail markets Brett Jacob to the new role of sales and marketing director, in a move which sees him return to the business after six years.
Jacob’s role covers both Jaywing and Epiphany brands with the entire sales and marketing teams reporting to him in a newly centralised function.
The move marks further strengthening of the senior team and emphasises its close working relationships across the company as it continues to consolidate its data science led full-service offering.
Jaywing’s clients include Sky, Pepsico, First Direct, E.On, Merlin Entertainments, Vodafone, Nationwide, RBS, Collect Plus and Ann Summers.
Jacob has more than 25 years’ experience in data and analytical services. Before Experian, he was sales and commerical director for Jaywing’s data science arm from 2005 through to 2010. Prior to that he was a management consultant at IBM and PWC and head of customer analytics at First Direct.
Jaywing chief executive UK & Australia Rob Shaw said: “Our collaborative working style means our senior people must have an acute appreciation of our broad set of client sector challenges. This means we can bring our clients the best advice and solutions from our matrix of specialist products and services, which range from brand development to search or customer experience to web development.
“Brett is consummate professional capable of building more of exactly the kind of long-term relationships we have with a number of our clients already. His ability to understand their challenges and offer the right blend of projects will ensure they can continue to rely on us as a trusted partner that delivers specifically for their needs.”
Jacob added: “I’ve worked with many of the team at Jaywing previously but it’s a very different place from six years ago. In particular, Jaywing’s data science heritage and capability is the envy of many and a real asset for today’s marketers.”
