Lida hirings boost senior team

Lida has appointed Sven Kaifel – who, aged 23 became the youngest ever of head of design in the BBDO network – to spearhead the agency’s entire design output across press, direct mail, digital and social media.
Reporting into executive creative director Nicky Bullard, Kaifel will work across Lida client list which includes O2, Boots, Virgin Holidays and Land Rover.
Having worked across a range of sectors including beauty, automotive, fashion, retail and finance, Kaifel joins Lida from Communicator where he led the design team accross high-profile brands such as Jack Daniels, Nike and Southern Comfort.
Prior to this, he was senior designer at Stack (formerly CMW), working on Peugeot, Kellogg’s, M&S and Nivea to name a few. Before this, Kaifel worked at BBDO in Germany where was the youngest ever head of design in the BBDO network.
Bullard said: “Sven has an excellent history of delivering innovative design, which fits perfectly with our positioning. Our creative department is an great place to be right now – we’ve won some strong new business and have some exciting creative in the pipeline. His energy, talent and passion speaks volumes and we can’t wait for him to get stuck in.”
Lida has also welcomed back Joanne Olsen as talent development director – a newly created role. She will be responsible for attracting, developing and retaining staff across all departments in the agency.
Olsen returns after ten years in senior account handling roles in leading digital and direct agencies in London, most recently as managing partner at Proximity.
