Having already boosted its senior creative team this week, Lida has now overhauled its top management by handing Claire Cootes the role of managing director at its London office, following the appointment of Jonathan Goodman to become the founding partner of Lida New York.
The appointment of Goodman, who has been MD of the agency’s London HQ since 2010, follows the acquisition of New York digital customer experience agency MCD Partners in March 2016.
Goodman will continue to report to chief executive Victoria Fox.
Meanwhile, Cootes who was previously a managing partner with responsibility for the agency’s O2 account, has worked at Lida for four years, having also worked at both OgilvyOne and Iris.
She will also report to Fox, who said: “Claire has big shoes to fill, but I have no doubt she will step up brilliantly to this challenge. As we grow our Lida offering, Claire has the breadth of skills and depth of knowledge as well as charm to help us succeed on this journey.”
Commenting on Goodman’s appointment, Fox added: “We couldn’t choose anyone better to build a successful and fully-rounded Lida offering in the US. Jonathan has Lida in his blood and a brilliant track record of driving and growing client revenue.”
