Lovehoney puts pleasure first with appointment of Leith

Sex toy and lingerie brand Lovehoney is aiming to “elevate pleasure and smash the stigma around sexual happiness” with the appointment of Edinburgh-based Leith as its incumbent agency, following a competitive pitch.

The retailer, which now describes itself as a sexual wellness brand, has previously appointed agencies on a project basis, having worked with McCann, Boldspace, Virtue UK, Partizan London and Leith in the past.

While most of its advertising is based on educating consumers on the joy of sex, it also has collaborated with other brand, including partnership deals with Spencer Matthews-owned alcohol-free spirit brand CleanCo and JustEat.

The appointment follows an in-house review, which kicked off in October 2024.

Lovehoney director of brand and marketing Nora Lahl said: “Leith’s creative vision and customer-centricity has been transformative in helping Lovehoney to further our mission to elevate pleasure and smash the stigma around sexual wellness over the past year.

“We are therefore delighted to be retaining Leith as our creative agency to continue executing on Lovehoney’s vision of bringing sexual happiness to our audience.

“We are excited for the work ahead as we develop our brand platform and continue to partner on playful, creative solutions which put our customers’ pleasure first.”

Leith Agency partner Brian Coane added: “Lovehoney is a bold, playful, sensual brand dedicated to sexual wellness, making them a dream client for any creative agency.

“We are delighted to continue our working relationship with them, pushing creative boundaries, navigating censorship laws and promoting sexual happiness for all.”
