Simplyhealth Group, the UK-based healthcare provider specialising in everyday health cash plans, dental plans, and virtual GP services, has appointed Mediaplus UK, as its new media agency following a competitive pitch handled by Ingenuity+.
The agency, which is part of Serviceplan Group’s House of Communication UK, beat off December19 and Assembly to win the business, which was previously handled by Ledger Bennett.
The appointment sees Mediaplus UK take responsibility for media planning and buying across The Simplyhealth Group, with activity running across out-of-home, audio, display, social and search.
This includes both healthcare services and cash plan provider Simplyhealth and dental payment plan and financing provider Denplan, spanning B2B and B2C communications. The group has nearly 4 million individual and 20,000 corporate clients across the UK.
Mediaplus will aim to use media to deepen understanding of the often complex world of workplace healthcare and sharpen brand differentiation by driving consideration and helping audiences understand their options and take action.
For Denplan, the focus is on evolving the brand, growing market share and driving practice and patient growth through effective, high-impact media, while leveraging the scale and strength of the wider Simplyhealth Group to clearly differentiate from competitors.
Simplyhealth sales and marketing director James Henderson said: “We were looking for an agency partner that could bring strategic clarity, strong planning and media expertise to support our ambitious growth goals across both B2B and B2C audiences. Following a competitive process, Mediaplus stood out for its understanding of our category challenges and its ability to translate insight into effective media solutions. We’re excited to partner together as we continue to build and evolve the Simplyhealth and Denplan brands.”
Mediaplus UK chief client officer Andy Travis added: “Simplyhealth and Denplan operate in a category where confidence, trust and clarity really matter. We’re proud to have been appointed to support the group’s next phase of growth and to bring our audience‑led planning and performance expertise to a brief that spans both consumer and employer audiences. We’re looking forward to helping both brands stand apart in a competitive marketplace and drive meaningful, long‑term growth.”
