MSQ Sport + Entertainment, the agency which was launched in June and is headed by former M&C duo Steve Martin and Jamie Wynne-Morgan, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of a new strategy partner.
Georgia Bridgwood joins from Sky Creative, where she had been since June 2021, most recently as head of creative strategy. During this time, she worked on a number of major campaigns, including ‘The Greatest Show on Earth’, which brought together Idris Elba and a plethora of sports stars to promote Sky Sports’ offering.
Prior to that she was a senior planner at The Union, one of Scotland’s largest ad agencies, and has also held roles at Good Agency, as well as in the marketing departments of organisations including Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the mental health charity MQ.
In her new role, Bridgwood will work across MSQ Sport + Entertainment’s breadth of clients, and has been briefed to turn key insights into cohesive strategies that help brands navigate the complexities and nuances of the sport and entertainment industries.
She is the first senior full-time hire made by MSQ Sport + Entertainment’s founders Wynne-Morgan and Martin since launch. Two further hires, a creative partner and a managing partner, will complete the senior leadership team line up in early 2025.
Bridgwood said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the leadership team at MSQ Sport + Entertainment. The agency’s ambition to be the very best and to offer something truly new and exciting to clients is a huge draw and it’s already clear to see that Jamie and Steve are committed to delivering a bold, creative vision. I can’t wait to contribute to the next chapter of our success.
Founding partners Wynne-Morgan and Martin added: “Georgia’s track record speaks for itself. She knows what it takes to generate impactful and innovative work and has worked with the biggest and best in the industry to bring her cutting-edge thinking to life. She has exactly the right blend of talent and attitude we’re looking for at MSQ Sport + Entertainment and her impact on client work has already been incredible.
“We’ve been truly energised by the conversations we’ve had with brands and organisations since launching MSQ Sport + Entertainment, and bringing in someone with Georgia’s skillset is exactly what we need to ensure we’re matching our clients’ big ambitions as we accelerate the agency forward.”
MSQ Sport + Entertainment has already begun working on a number of retained undisclosed projects with some of the UK’s largest brands and sports organisations, and signed up Callaway Golf as its founding client.
