OMG promotes insider to head up digital performance

omnicom mg manOmnicom Media Group, the media services division of Omnicom, has created the role of managing director of digital performance to lead the agency’s capabilities, covering PPC, social, SEO and affiliate marketing.

Guy Gobert-Jones takes up the role with immediate effect, having been promoted from managing partner and search and solutions consultant at OMG UK, leading and overseeing performance strategies for some of the UK’s biggest brands.

In his new role, Gobert-Jones will be responsible for ensuring that OMG UK’s clients have access to specialist expertise from across the group through its “agency as a platform” proposition and are benefiting from the latest technologies to drive growth for their brands.

A core focus will be on enabling agency teams and clients to capitalise on the expanding definition of digital performance, as social platforms move into search, search platforms expand into performance led social, and influencer and commerce come together to drive performance.

Gobert-Jones will report into OMG UK chief media and partnerships officer Harriet Perry. She said: “Having worked with Guy for several years, I know him to be a true pioneer in performance marketing. He will ensure that our agencies and clients are ably supported in navigating the challenges of the ever-evolving performance landscape to maximise business outputs for their brands.”

Gobert-Jones stated: “The impact of performance as a business enabler has never been more evident. I’m looking forward to further elevating the role of performance within our clients’ strategies, and increasing OMG’s capacity to deliver market-leading performance solutions that drive outstanding results.”
