Proximity London has boosted its strategic capabilities with three new recruits – a head of user experience and two planning directors – on the back of a raft of major business wins.
Cyprian Wong (pictured, far right) will lead and develop the customer experience design function at Proximity, a core part of the agency’s offering, as head of UX.
Having started his career in Singapore, Wong has since worked in Sydney and London, at the likes of Foviance and Webcredible on brands including Barclays, Heineken, BSkyB, Kuoni Travel, Cadbury UK, and Sony Style Europe.
He joins from Acuity Consulting, a business he set up in 2012, and will predominately be looking after the UX requirements for the Royal Mail, Post Office, Lloyds and Moneysupermarket accounts.
Colin Gray (middle) will be joining the agency from Stack (formerly CMW London), as the planning director for Halifax and Lloyds Commercial. He started his career client-side at VirginMoney, and also worked at Norwich Union, The Open University and Santander before moving agency side to Medicom, where he was media director. Gray has been responsible for leading B2C and B2B planning for large-scale clients including Direct Line, Peugeot and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
Matt North (far left) will also join Proximity as a planning director, from Metametrics, and work on the CRM business of Volkswagen, Shell and Aviva. He started his career at TBWA Direct and had also worked at Ogilvy, AIS London, Blac and Tangible on brands as diverse as Vodafone, Microsoft, McCain, and the Co-Operative Bank.
Proximity London managing director Gabrielle Moss said: “Cyprian, Colin and Matt are three very different but super talented new additions to the Proximity team and we look forward to having them on board.”
In the past 12 months, the agency has picked up new accounts for Halifax, Moneysupermarket, SSE, Waitrose, Oxfam and Parcelforce.
