Publicis Media bolsters data and tech with new CTO

publicis ctoPublicis Media UK is aiming to beef up its tech, data, product and AI strategies with the appointment of a new chief technology officer.

Andy Cabirdassou will lead a centralised team delivering for all clients across Publicis Media UK, which includes media agencies Zenith, Starcom, Spark Foundry, as well as performance marketing specialists Performics.

He joins Publicis Media from EssenceMediacom where he was EVP, global data science and innovation.

Before that, Cabirdassou held several roles developing high-performing tech and data teams within financial services, gaming and media, across both large organisations and start-up businesses including Direct Line and Santander.

He brings experience in creating new revenue streams and creating operating efficiencies for clients through scalable products and platforms.

Cabirdassou will sit on the Publicis Media UK management team, reporting directly to UK CEO Niel Bornman, who said: “Andy is a standout leader who combines a special mix of deep technical expertise and solid strategic thinking. His background in spearheading transformational work and growth for brands through technology will be key to helping our clients break new ground and shape their future success.”
