Somethin’ Else grabs slice of Saturday Night Takeaway

saturday-night-takeawayContent agency Somethin’ Else has strenghtened its relationship with ITV by landing the the social media brief for the upcoming series of the broadcaster’s hit show Saturday Night Takeaway.
The appointment follows Somethin’ Else’s campaign for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, which saw a number of the agency’s team join ITV staff in Australia to work on live show output.
The agency will once again work alongside ITV’s in-house digital and social media production team to initiate design and create assets across multiple platforms for Saturday Night Takeaway, which is also fronted by Ant and Dec.
A number of Somethin’ Else’s team – headed up by executive producer Tom Young – will be embedded at ITV for the pre-production and production period.
Alongside I’m A Celebrity, Somethin’ Else is also retained by the BRIT Awards, which is broadcast each February on ITV.
ITV senior entertainment producer Chris Younie said: “Somethin’ Else has already shown with the work it has done with ITV that the team understands how to support a show and reach audiences online. It presented strong ideas for what this might mean for Saturday Night Takeaway and we’re excited to get cracking.”
The agency’s managing director Steve Ackerman added: “This is our second significant project with ITV and we’re excited about the possibilities of how one of the UK”s biggest Saturday night shows can extend on social media platforms.”
