Tesco brings in Now TV as new Clubcard reward partner

GameTesco has signed up Now TV as a Clubcard reward partner, giving loyalty scheme members the chance to triple the value of their vouchers to buy “passes” so they can binge on live Premier League games, catch up with box-sets such as Game of Thrones and Hollywood blockbusters like The Avengers.
Under the scheme, a new “Credit Wallet” will be added to the Now TV account page, allowing customers to add credit to their account which can be spent on any TV pass or product, except broadband.
Now TV will add triple the value of Clubcard vouchers to the customer’s Credit Wallet, meaning £10 of Clubcard vouchers will be worth £30 of Now TV credit.
Remaining credit will stay on a customer’s account for three years and will be used towards monthly auto-renewals.
The move is the latest shake-up of the Clubcard programme, which recently ran a three-week Clubcard bonanza to celebrate the supermarket’s 100th birthday, giving loyalty club members discounts of up to 50% on a raft of selected products.
It follows confirmation from Tesco chief executive Dave Lewis that the retail giant is to boost its investment in the Clubcard scheme as part of plans to add “more value and connectivity”.
In its most recent results, published in April, Tesco revealed it had seen a 34% increase in activity on its loyalty scheme – shoppers claiming or redeeming loyalty points – over the past year alone.
This has been helped in part by the launch of the “faster vouchers” scheme, which allows customers to request vouchers online or via the Clubcard app without having to wait for the quarterly mailings to arrive.
