TMW Unlimited has finally found a new chief executive, drafting in former Razorfish boss Chris Mellish to succeed Chris Pearce, who now heads up MRM McCann.
Mellish will join the agency from digital consultancy Blackbook London, a business he co-founded in 2015.
However, he is perhaps best known for his time at Razorfish and its former entity DNA Consulting, where he spent over 14 years between 2001 and 2015; the last five years as CEO.
Mellish is to join TMW next month. So far this year, the agency has scooped new work from Absolut, the Department for International Trade, LNER and St Austell Brewery.
He said: “In today’s complex and interconnected marketing landscape, TMW’s deep digital expertise, combined with its heritage in CRM, means it can offer clients a unique way to develop ideas that drive tangible actions across the entire customer experience.”
Unlimited Group chief executive Tim Hassett, a former P&G, Kellogg’s and Campbell’s chief, who joined in June, said: “Great agencies are built with great people and leaders. Chris is an exceptionally talented individual who brings incredible energy, deep expertise and world-class client service skills to a critical role here at Unlimited.”
Pearce left TMW at the end of March after more than 11 years; within days he had emerged as CEO of MRM McCann.
