VCCP has struck a deal to bring independent customer engagement agency Table19 into its network, in a move which the group claims with “supercharge” its existing offering.
Launched in 2008, Table19 has worked with brands including Sainsbury’s, Nectar, Carphone Warehouse, BlackRock, Virgin Atlantic, BlackBerry, Sky, and Age UK among others.
Table19 will join VCCP’s existing customer engagement team, bringing clients Personal Group, Moet Hennessey, NewDay, The Royal British Legion which will add to VCCP’s existing roster.
Table19 founder Matt Broekhuizen, the former Sky head of customer marketing and Black Cat and WDMP chief, will now lead customer engagement for VCCP. He will work alongside and Emma Clark, who joined Table19 in 2010 to lead strategy and grow the business. She was previously at TMW Unlimited.
VCCP London chief executive Andrew Peake said: “We’re thrilled the team from Table19 are joining us to bolster our customer engagement capabilities. For too long, the industry has been distracted by technology and a drive towards efficiency. The technology is now embedded in our clients’ businesses, the advertising regulatory landscape is changing and there’s the death of third party cookies.
“As a challenger agency, now is the time to show how longer term strategies and creativity in customer engagement can play a significant part in growing our clients’ brands and loyalty amongst their customers. Table19 joining will play a big part in helping us achieve this.”
Broekhuizen added: “As customer engagement specialists we are truly excited by the opportunity to meld our expertise with the amazing brand strategy and creativity at VCCP.
“When you combine this with the challenger mindset that we both share, we are in an excellent position to create distinctive and impactful customer engagement for both existing and new clients.”
VCCP’s first dedicated customer experience agency was Stephen Francis Whitson, launched in 2005. The agency rebranded VCCP Me in 2011 following the departure of its founders and was merged into VCCP CX in 2019.
In April this year, VCCP launched customer experience agency Bernadette, a business which is designed to bridge the gap between digital strategy and the execution of digital experiences to make breakthrough products and services.
Starting with the UK, VCCP plans to roll out Bernadette globally; the agency launched with an existing portfolio of clients including Cadbury, O2, easyJet, Kia and Saga.
