William Hill Vegas appoints Sky Bet agency to account

Evoke Group-owned William Hill Vegas is aiming to cement its strategic transformation and build on the success of the past 12 months with the appointment of a new agency which has handled rival Sky Betting & Gaming’s account since 2017.

Independent Who Wot Why has been briefed to build a new brand platform for the UK and Ireland across channels including TV, OOH, socials, online, the app, events, experiential and product-specific campaigns across multi-media.

As a result of the appointment, Who Wot Why has resigned the Sky Betting & Gaming brief, which it has held for the past eight years.

The appointment follows a year of strategic change for Evoke, leading to the recent announcement that full-year earnings for 2024 would be ahead of market expectations thanks to a strong performance in the fourth quarter, driven in part by online growth of up to 17%.

William Hill head of brand Hannah Cooper Best said: “This is a key moment for the William Hill UK brand as we work to bed down our strategic transformation and build on the successes of 2024.

“The decision to appoint Who Wot Why was made based on our trust in their capabilities and their track record in our sector. We’re delighted to get this partnership up and running.”

Who Wot Why joint managing director Charles Faircloth added: “We’re delighted and flattered that the William Hill Vegas team has chosen to partner with us to help inform the brand’s future.”
