Integrated agency WPNC has promoted Nesh Soni to the role of head of digital marketing, two years after he joined the business as digital marketing manager.
Soni started his career as an environmental analyst at the NZ Sugar Company in Aukland in 2007, then became business development manager at City Forex NZ.
In 2011, he launched his own growth and marketing consultancy, One by Infinity, which specialised in video content and photography solutions across commercial and direct consumer segments.
Soni moved to the UK in 2018, and following spells at Perfocal and Talk London, joined WPNC in October 2019.
Since then, he has played a key role in supporting clients including British Heart Foundation, diabetes charity JDRF, VSO, cancer charity Walk the Walk and SSAFA – the Armed Forces, with digital marketing strategies and social media campaigns.
Soni said: “The pandemic has accelerated organisations’ transition to newer digital channels, such as Instagram Stories and Spotify for advertising.
“The global trend towards privacy means new challenges await, however, in areas such as attribution and audience targeting. But, with a fresh set of ideas and the support of an amazing team at WPNC, I feel invigorated to take on this new phase of growth ahead of us.”
WPNC managing director of agency John Eversley added: “With huge experience, including founding his own creative studio in New Zealand supporting clients in financial services, retail and the wine sector, he is well placed to help the agency through the next phase of growth.
“It’s well documented that digital marketing has experienced massive growth in the past year. Studies show search is the area with the most significant ad spend increase, and social video is also experiencing huge growth as brands turn to these channels.
“The new WPNC digital marketing team is gearing up for the opportunities ahead, and is ready to recruit following Nesh’s appointment.”
