Digital agency Kinase converts to employee-owned trust

Independent digital agency Kinase has joined the growing band of marketing businesses that are converting to an employee-owned trust, as the company moves to secure the next phase of its growth.

The decision, which follows similar moves by The Software Bureau and Golley Slater, means that Kinase will now become wholly owned by its 40+ employees.

Co-founder and director Richard Brooks (pictured, left) reckons this is the best thing that could happen for both staff and clients, adding that Kinase’s independence has been a crucial driver of how the agency has been able to operate as a bespoke growth partner for the past 15 years.

Brooks added: “Becoming an EOT ensures the business’s independence, its ability to continue to deliver exceptional  service and performance for clients as well as enabling our employees to drive its  future forward.

“The other vital ingredient has been Kinase’s talented workforce. It is their talent,  enthusiasm and ability to grow businesses which clients value most. By giving them  each a stake in the company they will reap the rewards of their hard work and be  more motivated than ever to continue providing the highest levels of service.”

The decision is announced as the agency marks its 15th anniversary, having been launched by co-founders Richard Brooks and Chris Dillabough as a PPC specialist in 2010.

Kinase now delivers business transformation through digital channels across biddable media, supported by measurement and creative solutions for a client list that includes the recent wins of British outdoor clothing brand Dryrobe and family-owned UK car dealership Thurlow Nunn, as well as Dreams, Purplebricks, Goldsmiths and Lovehoney.

Brooks and Dillabough will remain at the agency, working closely with the leadership team to ensure consistency and ongoing growth for clients, employees and the agency.

Client services director James Monaghan (pictured, right) leads the agency’s client teams, strategy and relationships.

He said: “Kinase’s move to become employee-owned provides security to  our clients that our business will continue to evolve in a way that is aligned with  what our clients need and want. It provides the security that they will retain the  excellence in technology-led transformation delivered by our highly skilled  employees that has become synonymous with the way we help our clients grow.”
