Delivery service Evri is aiming to boost its social media presence with the appointment of a new agency to handle its full social and content account, covering Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Eight&four, which claims to be one of UK’s fastest growing independent social agencies, has been appointed to the brief following a four-way competitive pitch.
The win will see the agency manage the full UK market social requirement; planning, channel strategy and management, content strategy, performance, reporting and community and crisis management.
The agency was founded in 2008 by Kate Ross and Amy McCulloch. It is headquartered in London with an office in Miami and is part of the eight&four Group (formerly known as the Cubo Group), an independent network that also includes Inkling and Feed.
The social media and content accounts for Evri have been managed by a number of key agencies since it was rebranded from Hermes in March 2022.
In August 2024, Evri appointed the Manchester agency Citypress as its dedicated social media partner following a competitive pitch, handling social media strategy, reputation building, and content execution across all audiences – including consumers, couriers, and retail partners.
It is not known whether Citypress will retain any of this business.
The appointment comes off the back of a major period of growth for eight&four which this year has seen 35% growth from new client wins alone, as well as a 25% increase in headcount, expansion into the US with the opening of eight&four USA Inc, and a new UK HQ opening across three floors in Soho.
Elsewhere the independent agency has seen as much as 500% organic growth among some existing clients, which include Sandals, DHL Group, The Crown Estate, Hitachi and King.
Evri Group head of communications Lauren Pogson said: “The role of online communities will play a key part in how we elevate our presence online, embed quality and create deeper engagement with the public, and we felt deeply aligned with eight&four’s strategic approach to community.
“Added to that, the agency’s team felt very much in sync with our own values; we’re excited to kick off this important new relationship.”
Eight&four managing partner Alex Engert added: “Evri is operating in a rapidly growing sector, as demand for home deliveries continues apace, so it’s imperative they carve out a unique personality online. They have brought us on board to elevate their social and digital presence where we will tell the stories that are important to the brand.”
