Peters, who first started working in strategic advisory role for the consultancy in 2018, will now spearhead an experienced board and long serving management team.

He brings a wealth of management experience from several of the UK’s biggest and specialist organisations across the energy, housing, not for profit and public sector.

In recent years, Peters has also been an investor and chair of several fast-growing technology and data centric private equity owned businesses; he currently holds chair positions at UK Health Security Agency, Legal & General Affordable Homes and IMServ.

With an established client base in the energy, water, financial services, healthcare and the not-for-profit sectors, Sagacity will hope to benefit from Peters’ contacts, skills and experience to complement the company’s robust growth plans.

Sagacity chief executive Anita Dougall said: “We are delighted that Ian has agreed to move from his successful advisory role to be our chair. I’d like to thank him for the support he’s provided to us prior to now and we look forward to what will be a continuation of a productive relationship between Ian, our management team, our investors Queen’s Park Equity, and our non-execs.

“It is an exciting time for Sagacity as we continue to grow, and Ian’s experience and leadership forms a significant part of this.

“His knowledge will ensure we continue to understand the ever-changing needs of the sectors we serve, continually develop our solutions and services and help us to deliver our growth strategy.”

Peters added: “I am delighted to increase my support to Anita, Malka, Harry, and the Sagacity team. I have advised the business for five years, understand what Sagacity embodies and firmly believe that the company is well placed for successful growth. I will steer the business to ensure that our existing and future clients receive tangible benefits, innovative solutions, and substantial return on their investment.”
