GI Insight recruits former Clubcard chief to top role

wright tooGI Insight, the data marketing, customer insight and loyalty company owned by GI Solutions, has appointed the former head of Tesco Clubcard operations Alison Wright as its new client services director.
With a strong background working in management and senior roles in customer loyalty, Wright has significant expertise leading customer engagement and marketing strategy projects.
Having joined Tesco in 1984 as category manager for clothing, Wright held a number of roles at the supermarket giant, including senior project and research manager and head of trade planning before taking up the role of head of Clubcard operations in 2005. She left in 2015 and worked as a consultant for GI Solutions before joining Loyalty 1st as a director.
At GI Insight Wright has been brought in to extend client relationships with both existing and future clients and will continue to develop and expand the marketing side of the business, turning data and insights into commercial opportunities and into continued growth for the business’ clients.
The appointment comes at a time when GI Insight is enhancing its omni-channel customer insight capability by integrating real-time digital analytics into its range of services, through GI Campaign.
Wright said: “I have worked with GI Solutions Group for a number of years while managing Tesco Clubcard CRM and customer offer programmes. I welcomed the opportunity to be part of the leadership growing the insight side of the business.”
