Purple Agency appoints Madigan as digital director

AmandaMThe Purple Agency is boosting its senior team by appointing Collinson Group global marketing consultant Amanda Madigan to the role of digital director.
Madigan has spent the majority of her career client side, having started at Panasonic as a product manager, where she stayed nearly four years, before switching to Yell. She then had spells at Dulux and Reckitt Benckiser – where she was head of global digital marketing – and 3M.
She had been at Collinson since April last year. In her new role, Madigan will lead Purple’s digital teams, and support its growing list of international clients as new digital technologies emerge.
Purple’s clients include the Financial Times, IBM, MSD, Mitchells & Butlers, Canon Europe, Huawei, Honeywell and Pfizer.
Managing director Steve Shaw said that Madigan’s CV is an impressive mix of strategic thinking, thought leadership and the direct development of digital content marketing, social media and integrated marketing for an impressive list of consumer clients.
He added: “With her digital vision – and in particular her international credentials – she’s ideally placed to help us build our global business.”
Madigan said: “Purple already enjoys a strong reputation as an innovative digital agency. The in-house digital and client-side teams are first rate, and my role will be to focus them on delivering the core digital and social campaigns and services which we already provide, as well as bringing in more ‘cutting edge’ experiential digital offerings.
“This is an agency which puts ‘delighting clients’ at the heart of what they do, with ideas, energy and insight, and I’m happy to be here at a time of exciting growth in the business – both in the UK and around the globe.”
