Purple hires Stack creative chief

The Purple Agency has appointed Stack creative group head James Mayfield as creative director, working alongside head of art Shane Brown.
Mayfield had been at Stack (formerly CMW) since January last year, joining as head of activation, from Wax Communications where he spent six years as creative group head. He has also had spells at Blow Fish and Fox Parrack Hirsch.
He succeeds Alan Docherty, who left the agency in July last year to become creative director at Magnify.
As well as a wide range of B2B clients, leading brands Mayfield has worked for include Canon, Currys, Hula Hoops, Disney, McVitie’s, Muller, Nestle, NFL, Vaseline, and Virgin.
Purple’s clients include IBM, MSD, ABTA, Mitchells & Butlers, Canon Europe, Honeywell, Pfizer, the British Paralympic Association, and UK Sport. Brown has been head of art since August 2008.
