Travelzoo, the company which offers its members insider deals and experiences which have been reviewed by a global panel of experts, has handed its UK CRM account to TMW Unlimited following a three-way pitch.
Launched in 1998 by former journalist Ralph Bartel, the company has more than 5 million members in the UK and 28 million worldwide, operating out of 25 offices.
It works by publishing deals from more than 2,000 travel, entertainment and local businesses such as restaurants and spas.
TMW has been briefed to boost member engagement in the UK market and devise a series of referral and loyalty initiatives through an integrated CRM programme with data at the core.
The activity, which is due to launch in September, will run across to live across email, web and social channels.
Travelzoo UK head of marketing Glyn Owen said: “We needed a creative partner who understood both our brand story and how to drive a truly integrated marketing strategy – TMW showed from the outset that they could deliver the strategy and creative we need to deliver a tailored member experience.”
TMW Unlimited chief strategy officer Dan Bowers added: “Travelzoo is ambitious, the team are brilliant and it’s a super interesting comms challenge. Together we can join the dots across member engagement and take the brand to a new level in the UK.”
The agency is on an impressive new business winning streak, so far this year TMW has also won Pernod Ricard’s Absolut vodka, the Department for International Trade, LNER and St Austell Brewery.
