Unlimited Group has opened its corporate chequebook once more by making B2B business Direction Group its third acquisition in a year.
The agency, which has a headcount of about 60, specialises in brand creative, content, conversion and consulting for clients including Microsoft, Fujitsu and Tata Communications.
In line with previous acquisitions, the agency will be rebranded Direction Group Unlimited and will sit alongside First Base Unlimited (bought last year) and Nelson Bostock Unlimited in the group’s B2B and technology division.
Nelson Bostock managing director Nick Clark has been promoted to oversee the three agencies in his new role as chief executive, technology and B2B across the Unlimited Group.
Clark said: “Our B2B offering is already in rude health, growing in revenue, talent and winning awards, so it’s exciting to welcome Direction Group to help expand our capabilities further in this high growth area.
“This is our third acquisition this year of a deep specialist agency to complement our existing businesses, which enables us to enhance our client offering whilst supporting the growth of the entire group.”
Last month, the group bolstered its data and analytics offering with the acquisition of independent agency Model Citizens, which was rebranded Realise Unlimited.
