‘Wowzers’ Asda goes big for Easter with new campaign

Asda is aiming to get customers into the Easter spirit with a new campaign designed to build on the revived “That’s Asda Price” platform, showing how the supermarket helps shoppers go big on the moments that matter, without the big price tag.

The campaign launches with two 20” films by Lucky Generals that capture the playful chaos and creativity families bring to Easter. Both executions show how Asda’s low prices help people elevate the occasion, whether they are preparing a standout family meal or leaning into classic Easter traditions.

In Easter Bonnet, the camera pans across a number of children donning their bonnets, stopping on a young girl with an over the top creation complete with lights, eggs and a mechanical rabbit. Her smile leads into the voiceover ‘Wowzers, that’s big Easter energy’ before we see a beautifully set Easter lunch at home.

The second film follows a couple heading to a family gathering in the back of taxi, only to be greeted by a house hidden behind an enormous pastel Easter egg emblazoned with the warm welcome ‘Eggcited you’re here’. The couple squeeze past the egg to enter the house as the voiceover says ‘Wowzers, that’s big Easter energy’.

Both spots highlight Asda’s seasonal offers, from centrepiece roasts to pleasing treats, before closing with the signature line: ‘That’s Asda Price.’

The campaign will run across TV, radio, press and social.

This campaign taps into that energy in a way that feels unmistakably Asda – upbeat, relatable and full of personality, showing that we’re here to help customers bring extra joy to the long weekend, with Asda Price at the heart.”
