REaD Group has bolstered its management team once more by hiring EuroDirect and Callcredit lifer Kevin Green as head of partnerships as the business gears up for the implementation of the EU data protection reforms.
Green had been business development director at EuroDirect since it was launched by Mike Green in 1992, with managing director John Dobson joining two years later.
Dobson and Mike Green went on to sell their majority shareholding in EuroDirect to Skipton Building Society in 1998 and oversaw the development of CallCredit Information Group. Mike Green was appointed a non-executive director at the REaD Group in 2014.
Kevin Green continued to work at EuroDirect while also playing a fundamental role in developing Callcredit Marketing Solutions division.
As head of partnerships at the REaD Group, Green has been briefed to deliver the firm’s data hygiene solutions. The Bereavement Register, the Gone Away Supression File and GAS Reactive have recently been upgraded following a two-year review of both existing and potential new sources of information.
Green will also help to steer clients through the implementation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, which will become law on May 25 2018.
REaD Group chief executive Jon Cano-Lopez said: “We’ve spent the past two years making sure our products are the best available in the market, so it was paramount to have the right man in place to deliver them. Kevin’s wealth of experience perfectly positions him to lead our partnerships division and we are delighted to welcome him to our leadership team. As we continue to expand the business we want to ensure we have the best people on board, demonstrating unparalleled expertise and sharing our core values. Kevin was a natural choice.”
The appointment follows the recruitment of Aimia EMEA data governance manager Andrew Bridges to the role of data quality and governance manager.
Bridges will spearhead REaD Group’s commitment to providing industry leading standards of data quality and governance, as well as ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the EU regulatory landscape, including the GDPR.
