REaD Group insight unit signs Logie

REaD Group signs Logie for insight armREaD Group is ratcheting up its assault on the data market by setting up a dedicated analytics and consultancy arm – REaD Group Insight – to be headed up by former St Ives chief Scott Logie.
The new division is designed to provide clients with intuitive data analysis and insight to provide what the company describes as “transformative business results”.
REaD Group claims the insight division will allow the firm to build on its existing analytics offering, “combining data assets and solutions business, to provide a forward thinking, cohesive and streamlined approach to cross channel marketing”.
The move follows the appointment of former Communisis Data Intelligence chief Jon Cano-Lopez as chief executive, and EuroDirect founder and former Callcredit chief Mike Green to spearhead new business development. Along with Logie, the company now boasts one of the most impressive senior teams in the data industry.
REaD Group recently agreed an exclusive deal with Acxiom to market its UK data assets, which are now available alongside its own Active suite.
Cano-Lopez said: “Insight is about so much more than analysis. It is what we extract out of the analytics that delivers real business information and perception, it is that intelligence that we build on to help our clients make the right decisions. Scott will be a tremendous asset to our already talented team. His knowledge and experience of delivering insight-driven solutions that work for major advertisers will only serve to enhance our offering.”
Logie left St Ives last year after being given a group role following the purchase of Occam, where he served as strategy director. Most recently he was a partner at the Mothership Group and managing director of Red Wigwam.
Logie said: “I am incredibly excited to become part of this remarkable development and business journey. The focus, evident within the organisation, to understand client challenges and work with them to create and execute elegant solutions is something that I know I can contribute to and want to be part of. I can’t wait to get started and meet some of the key clients.”
Chairman Mark Roy added: “The direction of our industry over the next few years is uncertain and organisations need to be ready, able and equipped to place client need at the forefront of their work. We now have a formidable offering, led by an unparalleled team that is already leading from the front. 2015 promises to be a very interesting year.”
