Did somebody say VCCP? Agency takes away Just Eat

VCCP’s new business machine has struck again, with Just Eat Takeaway.com appointing the agency to handle its global creative account following a competitive four-way pitch process run internally.

VCCP takes over from McCann, which won the business in 2018 and, since 2020, has used A-list musical talent to front campaigns, including Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry, and the duo of Christina Aguilera and Latto.

However, in late 2025, the brand switched to its first UK-centric campaign featuring R&B and garage legend Craig David, marking a shift towards celebrating local culture and “homegrown” talent.

Recent ads have also moved beyond restaurant meals to highlight on-demand convenience, promoting partnerships with retailers like Waitrose, Boots, and Greggs, as well as the delivery of groceries and electronics.

It is said that VCCP was chosen for its capability in uncovering audience insight and translating it into clearly articulated coherent brand identities. Its integrated model brings creative, media, production and AI together under one roof.

The agency’s first work will go live towards the end of 2026.

Founded in 2000, and headquartered in Amsterdam, the Just Eat Takeaway.com has grown rapidly to become one of the leading online delivery marketplaces; it has 362,000 partners worldwide.

Just Eat Takeaway.com chief marketing officer Ralph Rijks said: “We were impressed by VCCP’s strategic clarity and the boldness of their creative vision. Crucially, they’ve demonstrated a deep, shared understanding of our category and why our customers use our service.

“The success of our ‘Did Somebody Say’ brand platform will remain central to our future. As we enter this  next phase of growth, VCCP felt like a natural extension of our team – the clear partner to collaboratively define the next chapter of our brand’s platform and story.”

VCCP chief executive EMEA Steph Brimacombe added: “Our integrated model is designed to thrive on the scale and complexity of a household global brand like this, bringing together creativity, data, and AI to deliver real business impact. We can’t wait to get started to help drive the next chapter of their global growth.”
