Big briefs push Krow to open up social media division

Krow Group, the Mission Group agency, is continuing to expand its offering with the launch of a standalone social offering in response to the increasing number of social briefs the agency has received off the back of its integrated work for clients.

Krown Social will be headed up by managing director Owen Farrington and group executive creative director Ashika Chauhan, and while Krow already had social department, the higher demand for social activations has shaped this expanded offering.

Farrington has 20 years’ experience delivering digital, social, and creator-led campaigns for some of the world’s most recognisable brands, while Chauhan already heads up Krow Group’s inhouse content studio.

Powered by Krow’s creative, Livity’s cultural currency, and embedded search intelligence, Krow Social will aim to deliver end-to-end social thinking that connects brand ambition with real-world action. Services include audits, insight and strategy, social SEO, content creation, influencer marketing and generative AI content.

Post Office senior social media manager Darren Jones said “”Working with Krow Group has transformed how we show up on social. Their blend of strategic insight, creativity, and deep understanding of audience behaviour ensures every campaign connects. Seeing them grow their social offering feels like an exciting, natural next step – and we’re thrilled to continue building together.”

Farrington added: “The surge in social-first projects we’ve seen over the past year made it clear that brands are looking for more specialist support. Krow Social brings together the creative energy, strategic depth, and collaboration we’re known for but focused purely on helping brands thrive in the fast paced social world.”

Earlier this year, Krow Group launched a new global automotive marketing agency after acquiring April Six Mobility, whose clients include BMW Group, Stellantis, VW Group, and AVL Krow Kinetic is led by chief executive Sam Smith, who has been at April Six Mobility since 2003, most recently as managing director. Meanwhile, it set up customer experience agency Krow X in 2022.
