Rapp promotes Wells and Ballard

Rapp promotes Wells and BallardRapp has made a double promotion to strengthen both its digital and technology units, as part of a move to boost clients’ customer engagement strategies.
Mike Wells (left) has been promoted from business director to the new role of digital director, where he will be responsible for driving digital integration across Rapp’s entire creative, media and data client base to further increase the reach and effectiveness of digital engagement.
Wells joined Rapp in 2008 from Gyro, and in this time he has been responsible for running and growing a number of key digital accounts. He has led large-scale global projects, including platform consolidations and CRM/behaviour support programmes, as well as successful new business pitches for healthcare and consumer brands.
Wells said: “Our focus is helping our clients connect the disparate pieces of digital, together with data, to deliver effective customer experiences. This approach resonates with our clients and I am very excited about the future for Rapp in this space.”
Meanwhile, Ed Ballard (right) has been promoted from technology strategist to the new role of lead technology strategist. His promotion comes in repsonse to client demand for technology that helps them identify what influences customers to interact with a brand and move along the purchase journey.
Ballard, who joined Rapp in 2007 as an account exec, will be responsible for identifying emerging technology and matching it to specific business issues to improve the customer experience for consumers.
His promotion reflects a number of successful technology based projects Ed has been involved in across Rapp’s broad range of clients. These include leading a project using social data to identify the value of social media channels by understanding where their highest spending customers were most active online.
Ballard said: “Rapp is such a unique business with creative, technology, data and media in one place and more of our clients are looking for solutions that span the full range. By helping them take advantage of the latest technology we can connect their customers’ experiences at each point in their journey to build brand loyalty and repeat purchase.”
