Rapp promotions boost top team

Rapp promotions boost top teamRapp has promoted two of its senior team on the back of a number of new business wins, including JustGiving, ScottishPower and extra work from the Open University.
Managing partner Louise Jackson has been promoted to the new role of executive head of client services, six years after joining the agency as head of marketing to work on new business.
All account heads will now report to her, although she will continue to report into Rapp managing director John Perkins.
Jackson joined Rapp in 2009 from Forward Publishing, where she was sales and marketing director; before that she was the client services director at Carlson Marketing (now Aimia).
Jackson said: “Our data, creative and media positioning puts us in an incredibly exciting place to deliver integrated solutions of any combination, depending on a client’s business issue.”
Meanwhile, Adrian Whatman, creative director (design) has been promoted to the board of Rapp’s creative agency.
In May, Whatman was promoted to creative director from design director, the role he had held since he joined from Elvis in 2007.
His promotion reflects the growing importance of design in areas beyond traditional graphics and layout. Design thinking is now part of a much broader agency remit, encompassing areas such as prototyping, experience design and UX.
During the past seven years, Whatman has expanded Rapp’s design studio into areas such as Motion Graphics, UX, 3D design and digital best practice.
Rapp executive creative director Jason Andrews said: “Adrian’s well-deserved promotion to the board reflects the increasing importance of design in the progressive creative work we’re producing at Rapp. In today’s multi-platform world, design discipline is integral to the entire experience, not just the final execution. Adrian has the vision and knowledge to help us grow into completely new areas.”
